I’m curious to see how long one should normally wait before shaving again down there. Maybe I’m not doing something right, but I’ve found that I can only shave once a week when the hair gets a little softer and less stubbly. Any sooner while it is stubble, and I get hella bumps and start cutting myself, wind up looking like a slasher movie between my legs.

Granted, I normally used soap, but lurking around two time, I found someone had recommended using conditioner and then deodorant afterward, which I tried for the first time two days ago, and WOW did that work like a charm!

So yea, how often do you ladies shave your precious parts to maintain the optimal smoothness without the bumps and cuts?

So after dinner his parents and I were discussing their neighbours’s daughter who is a slut and had an abortion and they said something to the effect of “sex is healthy, and normal, and part of life – what’s the big deal?” Then the conversation turned to my boyfriend and I. To my horror, they made an off hand comment innsinuating that they heard us having sex in the guest room downstairs. We were being quiet out of courtesy, but according to my boyfriend, I make sounds that are involuntary and that I don’t remember during orgasms. They seemed to be ok with this and brushed it off jokingly.

I dont know that I have ever been overheard during sex. I’ve heard other ppl, but it didn’t bother me and I just disregarded it and went to sleep so it isn’t something that bothers me, but I’m worry about offending other ppl. IS it rude? Was I rude and they tried to make me feel better or something? What are your opinions on the issue in general?

When I had my first period, it was at school while I was running around chasing some boys around with a cricket bat. I was just another of the boys until that. I don’t think they knew what was going on, but after that I felt alien from them and stopped playing with them. The next day at school was humiliating. I leaked a bit while I was in the library and the teacher followed me when I went to the loo and started talking SO LOUDLY about how exciting it was and how I was a real woman now. I just wanted to tell her to stfu and leave me alone. Mum gave me a booklet when I got home called “How Should I Tell my Daughter”. The title was very depressing, much like the rest of the booklet. it gave the impression of “your life is over now, here’s how mum should tell you!” it was from like the 70s or something and recommended how to make your own rags and stuff. Mum was doing the diary for my gynaecologist, even though I kept saying I was more than capable of describing painful, heavy periods. I’m sick of mum stepping around the subject by referring to it as my “thing” and being all hush-hush about it. I’m 18, legally an adult in Australia, but she still tells me off if I wear something low-cut because “men can see your knockers, it’s rude!” and I hate her attitude when there’s an ad on about tampons where she’s like “DO THEY HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THAT?” well sorry if they’re trying to advertise a product you use. I hated bra-shopping, I started developing around 7 and when I got my first real one, it was a nice cloth one that was comfortable for a few months before it went rotten and then she dragged me in to Myer and started telling the salesperson what SHE wanted me to have. I ended up with this horrid silky one. She would make me sleep with a towel under me if I was on my period, even though I didn’t leak much. No colourful underwear, it has to be black and up to my waist (it’s really hard to find that sort of undies, everything’s like hipster briefs in bright colours). I don’t really see it as dirty or shameful to wear a bra or have periods, but I am tired of her attitude about it. I was never taught about tampons, so I’m too scared to try and insert one without a doctor’s help. It’s not helping the way mum goes on that tampons are bad, and huge pads that feel like wearing a diaper are the way to go.
