Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) – Dr. Kesler Dalmacy, a well known physician, who had lived in New York and practiced medicine in that city, announced this week his intention to become Haiti’s next president.
According to the Nouvelliste, a major organ of publication in Haiti, on August 4th 2010, Dr. Kesler Dalmacy was the first Haitian citizen to officially register as a candidate for the presidential election that will take place in Haiti on November 28th 2010. If he runs and is elected, Dr. Dalmacy will rule over 9 million inhabitants and will have to rebuild a country devastated by the January 12th 2010 earthquake, and plagued by famine, insecurity, disharmony, unemployment, and natural disasters.
According to Dr. Marie-Ange Tardieu of Children Non-Profit, who has collaborated on a number of medical missions and projects with the candidate, “Haiti’s interests can be well served by a candidate like Dr. Dalmacy who understands Haiti and Haitians, and is well versed in how to improve education, promote employment, better access to health care, and introduce programs to position the country to move forward…What also makes Dr. Dalmacy an ideal candidate is the fact that he is endowed of an advanced education and a sound understanding of Haitian society that will enable him to work with all Haitians, and promote respect, harmony and collaboration among the different layers of that society.”
Nadege Cherubin, a registered nurse licensed in the State of New York, who had worked with Dr. Dalmacy for years, remarked “If elected, Dr. Dalmacy will be president of Haiti for all Haitians… what distinguished Dr. Dalmacy from others is his thirst to improve the lot of all Haitians and his respect and appreciation for his fellow citizens regardless of cast, class, color, political affiliation and educational background.” Miss Cherubin then added “Dr. Dalmacy is an individual who places the interest of his country and fellow Haitians ahead of his own. Such an individual could be a model for all the citizens of Haiti, and Haitians will take pride one day in saying: Dr. Dalmacy was my president.”
