Saudi Arabia Government Donate $50m to Haiti Earthquake Relief

Saudi Arabia has donated $50 million in relief to Haiti to cope with the devastating earthquake that hit the country nearly two weeks ago, making it the largest donation from the Middle East to date, a Saudi foreign ministry spokesman said Monday January 25, 2010.

The official news agency of the United Arab Emirates, a Middle Eastern nation on the Persian Gulf, said a plane carrying 77 tons of basic relief supplies has been sent by the government to Haiti.

Seems Saudi Arabia has finally donated to Haiti Relief but did so 2 weeks after the earthquake. With all of their oil funds they donated only $50M, a
drop in the bucket for the relief effort. Wonder how much they would have
donated had it been an earthquake in a Muslim nation.

  • Nick J says:

I wonder the same too Red. They’re so cheap, it’s not even funny.

  • Badriah azouz says:

Are you kidding me, are you people really saying 50 million dollars is not enough. These people have nothing Im sure they would be happy with a dollar. How dare you critisize how much is being sent.

  • Monique says:

Get a grip. They made what doesn’t amount to much more than a token donation waaay after the appropriate timeframe. Totally unimpressive.

  • Turkey says:

Are you guys serious? Do you have any kind of economic understanding? Saudi Arabia donated half of what the US has donated. Not enough? Its good to look at the GDP of each country to see who falls short. But I guess it doesn’t matter because all you have to give is HATE!

  • Mohammed says:

$ 50 millions is cheep! for a little island! I bet no body in Haiti know that there is a country called Saudi Arabia! even if they knew about it, I don’t think they would have any idea about that far a way country that would donate this big amount.

Saudi Arabia Have been always donating and giving help to any country in the world that wound need any kind of help no matter what religion, culture, or race they are.

Media changed the picture of Islam and made everyone who don’t know anything about Islam have always that bad thought to come first to their minds. This view will never change in your mind until you try to know what really Islam is.

If you feel lazy to read and you thing it’s not important to give yourself a bet of time a know something about this religion so please don’t just blindly watch media and make it your only background for whatever idea you are going to throw online and make others see it.

    God bless you all,,
