On January 27, 2010, French rescuers pulled a Haitian teenage girl out of the rubble of Port-au-Prince’s destroyed College St. Gerard on Wednesday, a miraculous rescue that occurred 15 days after an earthquake smashed the Caribbean capital.

Haiti’s government said there’s little hope of finding more people alive 10 days after much of the capital was reduced to rubble.
