No fewer than seven corpses still emit under the rubble of odors at Villa Manresa, a home for monks and nuns of the Catholic Church in Haiti. Located in the hills above Port-au-Prince, Turgeau, this building built on four floors collapsed, like the Notre Dame or the Diocese of Port-au-Prince, during the earthquake of January 12, 2010.
The Reverend Father Peter Andre Garraud Paul, director of Villa Manresa and Superior of the Clerics of Saint Viator in Haiti, returning the same day Peru. He said he had miraculously survived by jumping from a floor in the front gardens to see the extent of damage.
In the list of victims still under the rubble, Father Garraud reports a French established in Haiti for several years, a Haitian-Canadian in the country for several months, three employees (two cooks, a receptionist) and two guests of residents. The possibility of visitors unreported is also considered, in the words of the head of Villa Manresa recalling inter alia the director of the Episcopal Commission for Catholic Education (CEEC), Dellil Antoine, was saved after the catastrophe .
